Quick Tips
Use keyboard shortcut: You can set a custom keyboard shortcut for the extension at chrome://extensions/shortcuts
Right-click to access options: Right-click the extension icon for quick access to the Options page
Use notes for context: Add detailed notes to reminders so you remember why you created them
Domain reminders for frequent sites: For sites you visit daily, use Domain match with "Once Daily" frequency
Export regularly: Create periodic backups of your reminders, especially before browser updates
Getting Started
- Navigate to any webpage you want to remember
- Click the RevisitThis.link icon in your browser toolbar
- Enter a title for your reminder (required)
- Optionally add a note with more details
- Choose your URL match type and notification frequency
- Click "Save Reminder"
Managing Reminders
- Click the RevisitThis.link icon
- Find the reminder in the list
- Click the edit (pencil) icon to modify, or the delete (trash) icon to remove
Notifications
Check the following:
- Browser notifications enabled: Go to
chrome://settings/content/notificationsand ensure Chrome can show notifications - System notifications enabled: Check your operating system's notification settings for Chrome
- Extension notifications enabled: In the extension's Options page, make sure "Enable Notifications" is turned on
- Do Not Disturb mode: Ensure your system's DND/Focus mode is not blocking notifications
- Reminder is active: Check that the reminder hasn't been deactivated or snoozed
Data & Privacy
All your data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. By default, data stays on your current device only.
Troubleshooting
This usually means you're on a page where Chrome extensions can't run, such as:
chrome://pages (settings, extensions, etc.)- The Chrome Web Store
- Other browser internal pages
Navigate to a regular webpage to use the extension.
Features & Limitations
There's no hard limit enforced by the extension. However, Chrome's storage has limits:
- Local storage: ~5MB (thousands of reminders)
- Sync storage: ~100KB (~100-200 reminders, depending on note length)
For most users, these limits are more than sufficient.
